Ted and his wife, Christine live in New Berlin and have served the Poplar Creek Church Family for just over 20 Years. Ted has worn many hats over the years. He has served in many roles at PCC from Children’s Minister, Student Ministries Pastor and Worship Leader but feels blessed to be working in his current roles as Lead Pastor of Poplar Creek Church. Ted enjoys Disney vacations, a good movie and has an undying love for Apple products. He attended University of Nebraska, Omaha and North Central University in Minneapolis.
Reverend David A. Gall, Executive Pastor entered into full-time ministry 21 years ago after leaving 27 years of Corporate America. Dave as he likes to be called was President and CEO of the Graham Company a manufacturer of electronic inverter drives for the heating and air-conditioning market. Dave began his ministry career at North Central University and completed an engineering degree through MSOE, Milwaukee. Dave’s portfolio includes preaching at two Sunday morning traditional services, overseeing the financial area, advisor to the missions committee and the safety and men’s ministry committee.
Zach heads up the student ministries department of Poplar Creek Church. He is a graduate of North Central University. He enjoys speaking in local schools and recently released a book called the “The Generosity Movement”. Zach’s favorite thing about being apart of Poplar Creek Church is the opportunity to serve, connect with new guests and being able to learn through new opportunities. He loves Dr Pepper, wolverine and enjoys reading and watching the NBA and ESPN in his free time. He was just recently married to Rachel Mueller and is excited for this new adventure.
Jessica has led worship for events all over the nation and for all different age groups. She is married to Jason Maupin, a motivational speaker with Elevate Industries who travels the world bringing a message of hope to students and adults alike. Together Jason and Jessica have 3 young children and they enjoy spending time together as a family in their free time. From children to adults she has a desire to connect the generations in worship to God. Authentic, God-centered worship is the main focus of the worship ministry at Poplar Creek Church!
Shelley DeBord has attended Poplar Creek Church for 41 years and joined the staff in June 2003. She is passionate about helping kids follow Jesus in a loving and safe environment. Shelley has been married to Terry for 29 years and they have three grown children, one daughter in law and a grandson. In her spare time she loves to try new restaurants with friends, shop, listen to music and read.
Christine serves as our early childhood director and began her ministry career at PCC 18 years. She grew up a ministers daughter, moved often and attended North Central University working towards a degree in Elementary Education. She met Ted in College and married him 21 years ago. She has two amazing boys Ethan and Christian. Pray for her…LOL She has a passion for children and feels ministry to them is her God given gift. Christine loves her family time and her yearly trips to Disney.
Dr. Dana Bonelli serves as wellness pastor and director of biblical counseling ministry at PCC since 2012. She supervises and trains pastoral and lay counselors who provide biblical counseling for PCC and the community. In addition, she teaches adult Wellness classes which promote spiritual, emotional and physical health principles. The wellness department also offers biblically based support groups for those who have addictions, families of addicted persons and grief support (Griefshare). She has taught and provided faith based health care (parish nursing) in both suburban and inner city settings for over 20 years. She graduated from Marquette University with a master’s in nursing education and from For His Glory Bible College with a doctorate in biblical counseling.
Beth Laurent has attended Poplar Creek Church since 2006. She joined the staff in 2012 and serves as Education Pastor and Director of the Poplar Creek Church Institute. She was a Social Worker for 23 years before being called into ministry and the teaching of The Word of God. In addition to being on the staff at Poplar Creek, she serves as President of For His Glory Bible College, an independent Bible college which meets at the church. She has a heart to see men and women study the Word of God and to be equipped in their walk with the Lord.
